Call for Abstracts

We welcome abstract submissions for oral and poster presentations that engage with the conference theme and address emerging challenges, innovative practices, research findings, or critical perspectives in sustainable cities and landscapes. Accepted paper and poster presentations will be eligible for consideration for the Best Paper and Best Poster Awards, respectively, in recognition of outstanding contributions to the conference.

Please submit your abstract for an oral/poster presentation in tracks including, but not limited to:

  1. Track 1AI for resilience
  2. Track 2Human–nature interactions and health implications
  3. Track 3Environmental, economic, and social infrastructure
  4. Track 4Climate justice
  5. Track 5Botanic and agricultural urbanism
  6. Track 6Urban landscape biodiversity
  7. Track 7Water, seascapes, and infrastructure
  8. Track 8Energy landscapes and systems
  9. Track 9Community engagement and co-design

Selected abstracts from the open call will be assigned to either a parallel session for oral presentation or a poster session. Please note that, unlike traditional academic conferences, APRU-SCL also operates through thematic Working Groups that bring together scholars and practitioners around shared areas of research and practice. During the conference, parallel sessions will run alongside Working Group meetings and activities. If you are presenting and also wish to attend a WG session, we will coordinate your schedule to ensure you can participate in both.

If your research aligns with the focus of one or more Working Groups, you are welcome to contact the Working Group leaders to explore opportunities for engagement. Please note that acceptance of an abstract for an oral or poster presentation does not automatically constitute access to Working Group meetings. Participation in Working Group activities is coordinated separately with the respective Working Group leaders.
